More ADHD in Kids with Early Anesthesia
A paper in Mayo Clinic Proceedings shows the correlation stated in the title.
This is troubling, not least of which because working memory is known to be decreased in ADHD, and there are post-anesthesia working memory deficits in adults. It may be that early exposure to general anesthesia might damage the wiring brain's working memory hardware.
